Wet N Wild COLOR ICON™ Eyeshadow Palette Review
Introducing Wet N Wild COLOR ICON™ Eyeshadow Palette "Vanity" !
I will I was hesitant in buying the Palette But Wow .... The concept in Amazing and the Pigment in too :)
Palette I'm reviewing Today is Vanity and Pride. There are two other palettes named Greed and Lust (If I can get hand of those I would die, lol.)

Cons:
- Must have a Eyeshadow Primer if not it does not wear stay put all day, But I did it with Too Faced Shadow Insurance and it stayed put all day :)
- Thats about it!!

Home Beauty Recipes
Exfoliators:I take almond oil and add "sugar in the raw" It makes a great exfoliator and is so much less expensive than buying it commercially. I love to rub it into my hands and heels and then rinse it off. It makes them feel nice and smooth!
I use regular epsom salts
available at any pharmacy and add my choice of essential oils I get at
the health food store. I love to use eucalyptus and mint or orange.
Add it to the bath. It really helps clear the sinuses when you have
a cold or just plain makes you feel relaxed.
Hair Masks:
- Mayonnaise for dry hair
- Olive Oil - apply to your hair. Enclose your hair with plastic wrap. Leave on at least an hour, or overnight if you have very dry hair. Shampoo out. This leaves your hair feeling very luxurious.
- Beer rinse on hair makes it nice and shiny.
- Peanut Butter - use as a super conditioner. The peanut oil will condition your hair deeply. Comb it into your hair and let it sit for about 10-20 minutes, then shampoo it out.
- Herbal Tea - Use as a cleanser for your hair. Rinse it in.

Mash half of an avocado and apply to your face. Apply to face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

Cream ~
Mash 1/2 banana, add 1 tablespoon honey and 2 tablespoons sour cream. Apply to face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Gently wipe off with a damp wash cloth.

equal parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin
for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Sigma Makeup Brush Numbering Guide (Eye and Lip Edition)
The purpose of these posts is to help those of my readers who may be confused with the new numbering system, as I have provided the old Sigma Beauty SS numbering and the new. The old system allows you to easily relate each brush to its MAC equivalent. I hope this helps!

Sigma Makeup Brush Numbering Guide (Face Edition)
Recently Sigma Makeup changed their numbering system, they used to have
MAC equivalent numbers on their brushes (ie SS217 would be a dupe for
the MAC217). They steered away from this system and made a new one,
their brushes now have unique numbers and the letter F, E and L before
the number, indicating face, eyes and lips. I have put together a guide
here to make it easier to distinguish between the two systems. I liked
the old numbering because it was easy to know what the comparable brush
was, but this way they have their own unique system and own identity
too.

Q & A with Glamazon - TAXES
Q. Hi! As makeup artists, we spend lots of money on items large and small,
from taxis to classes to supplies. Who on this group has used a simple
accounting program to record all of there expenses and get organized? I
would love to hear about it.
A. I use a site called outright.com. Its great and makes managing my
business and life really easy. It even tell you how much taxes you have
coming due at the end of the year. I love it!

Q. How do u prep the eyes before applying shadow?
A. most use an eyeshadow base or primer...this will give the eyeshadow more
staying power, will prevent it from creasing, and bring out the
intensity in the colors more. i use "shadow insurance" by too faced and
"primer potion" by urban decay. if you are doing bright colors use a
cream eye shadow base in the color you desire and then place an
eyeshadow powder on top of the cream base.the cream base will bring out
the color even more!

Q. How do u take care of fallen eyeshadow on the face, do you put powder?
A. place a generous amount of translucent powder underneath the eyes to
"catch" the excess eyeshadow..when eyeshadow is complete, simply brush
away the translucent powder, and the excess should follow! if it
doesn't, than you didn't put enough powder!

There is no doubt about it - boredom with your craft shows through to the final product and to your clients. It shows in the way you promote yourself, it shows in the way you produce your work. Whether you are doing makeup in a salon, at a retail counter or for film, theater or the red carpet - be sure that you are staying creatively inspired and bring the excitement of that inspiration into your work every day. You will grow faster, direct your career more steadily and work as often as you want to, if your clients know that you love what you do everyday.
TIP EIGHT: *LEARN HOW THE BEST GOT THERE
What better way to create a sustainable, impactful and satisfying career than to ask the people who have done it already how they did it. It doesn't matter if you are in the same field of makeup artistry - artistic integrity and a long lasting career cross over to every part of the career of the makeup artist. Get in front of the most talented artists in the industry, hear their story, apply their passion and insight to your own career and watch your own business grow and last.
TIP NINE: *SHOWCASE YOUR WORK AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE
The most amazing makeup artist in the world can't get hired if no one knows that they exist and they don't show anyone the work that they can do. Become an active part of the community of makeup artists and clients that hire them. Develop the strongest means by which to show off your work, and go to where the community is. Get your comp card out there, drive traffic to your website or agency, show the makeup artist world what you've got to offer and make yourself known to potential clients and network peers.
TIP TEN: *BECOME A BRAND THAT CLIENTS KNOW AND REMEMBER
Remember that makeup artist who you met a while back at that trade show? Right - neither does anyone else because they didn't have an image, a business card, or a story about their personal brand that stuck with you (or their potential clients). Ensure that you are remembered and though of first by the entire industry by creating a brand that is memorable, makes you stand out and clearly defines who you are as a makeup artist. It starts with a great personality that connects you to people, continues on with a strong business card and website, and keeps going until the job is done and you have followed up and gotten the next job. Is your brand is as strong and relevant to your industry as a certain coffee shop or or discount retailer with a big red dot in the middle of their logo? Get the work by making it so.
